Xcel Energy crews spent Sunday working to restore power after Friday’s storm.

At its peak, 135,000 customers in Minnesota were without electricity.

The National Weather Service says an EF-0 tornado touched down Friday night near Crystal with winds of 75 miles per hour.

The twister toppled trees and knocked out power

"It just came in like a freight train," Austin Ludeman of Crystal said. "It was wild. It was something I’ve never experienced before."

Crystal Public Works will start removing tree branches and log debris from city property starting Monday. They will also assist with removing larger debris from private properties. Cleanup is expected to take at least a week.
