KSTP Traffic Reporter Josie Smith said crashes are being reported across the metro Friday morning. Meteorologist Jonathan Yuhas said exhaust from vehicles is freezing on cold pavement, which contributes to slick spots.

Smith said early Friday, a pickup truck crashed along the wall of the Highway 77/Cedar Avenue bridge at the Minnesota River bridge in Bloomington.

Meanwhile, Smith said two crashes were also reported on southbound Highway 52 in Inver Grove Heights and westbound Highway 62 in Edina.

Plymouth police also reported a crash along Interstate 494 north of Rockford Road, Smith said.

Early Friday morning, Smith said the Minnesota Department of Transportation reopened westbound Highway 10 near Seventh Avenue in Anoka after closing it due to a crash. The highway reopened at about 7:30 a.m.

There was also a crash along I-94 at Highway 280 in St. Paul. Backups were reported on westbound I-94.

Smith said that crash cleared at about 7:40 a.m. and all lanes were open.

Smith also said a multi-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 35E near Jackson Street in St. Paul caused delays early Friday.
