A Minnesota man is making moves on the “Jeopardy!” National College Championship this week.
Chance Persons from Burnsville will be competing Thursday night on ABC.
Persons is a 2020 graduate from Burnsville High School who attends Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
Erin Persons, Chance’s mother, couldn’t be more proud of her son appearing on national television.
“You think about it him loving ‘Jeopardy,’ watching ‘Jeopardy,’ obsessed with Ken Jennings, Holzhauer all the greats from ‘Jeopardy’ — just having him on the show, it’s surreal, it’s so cool,” Erin Persons said. “It’s great for not only Chance, it’s great for Burnsville, it’s great for Creighton University.”
“We just feel really blessed that he’s gotten to do this. This was truly a dream for him and so who doesn’t want to see their kids realize their dreams pretty awesome,” she said.
More than 20,000 students tried out for the “Jeopardy!” National College Championship; only 36 were selected.
