Brooklyn Park police investigating 2 separate shootings
Police in Brooklyn Park are investigating two separate reports of gunshots in the city and related property damage.
According to Brooklyn Park police, officers responded to the 8300 block of Kentucky Avenue at about 9:45 p.m. Monday after residents in the area reported hearing several gunshots. Officers checked the area but didn’t find any damage or shell casings.
Tuesday morning, at about 7:30, a resident on the 8400 block of Kentucky Avenue called police after finding damage to his vehicle and garage that appeared to be from gunshots. There, officers found evidence of gunshots and began an investigation.
No injuries have been reported from the shooting.
Also Tuesday morning, at about 5:10, officers responded to a report of shots fired into a home along the 7900 block of Kyle Avenue North.
Police said the victims inside the home weren’t injured.
Officers found several shell casings in the street, as well as entrance holes into the home.
An investigation is ongoing.
Police asked anyone with information on either shooting to call them or submit a tip via text or online.
