Brooklyn Park man dies after motorcycle hits semi

A Brooklyn Park man died Sunday night after his motorcycle crashed into a semi in Stearns County.
A Minnesota State Patrol crash report states the 54-year-old man was driving his 2007 Yamaha east on Interstate 94 when he rear-ended a semi near County Road 11, in Freeport. The motorcycle then came to a stop on the median shoulder of I-94.
The driver of the semi — a 63-year-old from Ottawa, Canada — wasn’t injured in the crash.
The name of the motorcyclist is expected to be released Monday afternoon.
