Brooklyn Center man indicted in ex-wife’s death

A grand jury has indicted a Brooklyn Center man in connection to his ex-wife’s death last year.
The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office says Robert McCloud was indicted Thursday for premeditated first-degree murder in the June 2021 death of Lauri Deatherage.
He was originally charged with intentional second-degree murder four days after Deatherage was found dead.
McCloud is scheduled to make his first court appearance after the indictment on Friday.
