Brooklyn Center issues overnight curfew

The city of Brooklyn Center has announced an overnight curfew Monday.

The curfew is in effect from 11 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The curfew does not apply to people traveling to and from work or religious services, law enforcement, those seeking medical care, fleeing danger and the media.

According to the city, people violating the order will face a $50 and a misdemeanor charge.
