Boy pulled from pool in north Minneapolis dies

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed to KSTP on Tuesday that a boy who was found in a pool at North Commons Park on Friday and subsequently taken to the hospital has died.

The sheriff’s office notes the medical examiner’s office will release the identity of the boy at a later time.

According to a Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board spokesperson, Park Police responded to a water emergency at the water park, which was not yet open for the season. The boy was found in the pool and taken to the hospital.
