A college student who attended Blaine High School was found dead in a lake Friday on the University of Notre Dame campus in South Bend, Indiana.
The body of Annrose Jerry, 21, was found Friday morning in St. Mary's Lake. University officials had put out a silver alert for her after she had gone missing. She was last seen Tuesday on campus.
The St. Joseph County coroner told ABC affiliate station WBND-TV there were no signs of trauma on her body, and there's no evidence of foul play.
Jerry graduated from Blaine High School in 2016, according to the Anoka-Hennepin School District.
She was set to graduate from Notre Dame this year and had hopes of going to dental school.
Bruce Olson, who was Jerry's band director at Blaine High School, told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS in an email that Jerry was a talented flutist and that she was first chair in the Blaine concert band and concert orchestra. She auditioned and was selected for the Minnesota All-State Band two years in a row and also played piano with the high school's jazz band.
"Annrose Jerry was one of those rare students you never forget as a teacher," Olson said. "She was gifted, talented, humble, and had a beautiful spirit that radiated love. She was well respected by her peers and a leader and role model to the students she came in contact with."
Olson also said Jerry was named a National Merit Scholar finalist and graduated from Blaine with Highest Honors.
