Body found in Burnsville lake

The body of a 20-year-old was found Sunday night in a Burnsville lake after authorities responded to a report of a missing person.

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a missing person report at about 7:30 p.m. near Earley Lake.

Law enforcement deployed a drone and later located a body in a shallow part of the lake.

The victim’s body was recovered at about 10 p.m., according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities aren’t yet releasing the victim’s identity until the family is notified.
