Blue Door Pub won’t reopen original St. Paul location

Blucy blues: Blue Door Pub announced it will not reopen its original restaurant along Selby Avenue in St. Paul.

A social media post from the popular restaurant late Monday states that after being open for more than 12 years at this particular location, it will not reopen its doors.

The post states, in full:

Thank you St Paul and especially Merriam Park for supporting our little pub for the last 12+ years. Sadly, we will not be re-opening our Selby location.

While our hearts are filled with sadness, we’ve had such an incredible time over the past years it’s hard to keep our frowns for too long.

Thank you all for the years of support, thanks for waiting in long lines to eat with us, thanks for enduring hot summer days with us, and cold drafty nights with us, thanks for being awesome, and thanks for all of the wonderful memories!
