Arrest made in hit-and-run that left 1 dead in north Minneapolis

An arrest has been made in relation to the fatal hit-and-run that happened in north Minneapolis on Monday.
Police say 21-year-old Cameron Bendson of St. Anthony has been booked into Hennepin County Jail on suspicion of murder.
According to Minneapolis Police, a woman on a motorized wheelchair was headed south at about 2:26 p.m. on Monday when she was struck by a white Jeep near North Aldrich Avenue and West Broadway Avenue.
The woman was thrown about 50 feet from the collision, and the Jeep fled south, police said.
First responders rendered aid and took the woman to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
More information is expected to be provided by police at a later time.
