Argument between drivers leads to fatal shooting in Maple Grove

Police say a man was shot and killed Sunday afternoon in a road rage incident in Maple Grove.

The shooting happened just before 3 p.m. near County Road 30 and Garland Lane. A 911 call indicated that two drivers had gotten into an argument in the area and one driver shot at the other’s vehicle before they both drove off, according to the Maple Grove Police Department.

Police responding to the shooting found a vehicle that had driven off an on-ramp to Interstate 94 near Maple Grove Parkway. A man inside the vehicle had suffered a gunshot wound, and he was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

The shooting victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police say there is “no known ongoing threat to the community,” but no arrests have been made.
