Allianz Field increasing to near full capacity on June 23

Friday, Minnesota United announced Allianz Field will increase toward full capacity seating starting on June 23.

The club noted there will be some exceptions due to specific Major League Soccer (MLS) safety restrictions in certain seating areas, but with state COVID-19 restrictions easing, more fans will be welcomed back.

"Our fans make our gameday experience the best in MLS and are the heart and soul of our club. We are so excited to welcome even more fans back to Allianz Field as we know how important their support is to our players and coaches," MNUFC CEO Chris Wright said. "Sports are meant to bring communities together. We also know that even though Minnesota is a national leader in vaccinations that not everyone is comfortable in a full venue right now. However, we look forward to welcoming everyone back when they are ready. We are also grateful for the work our state leaders and local health officials have done to get our state back to some level of normalcy. We cannot wait to hear a packed Allianz Field sing ‘Wonderwall’ again."

Tickets are set to go on sale to the general public early next month. Season ticket members will be contacted directly, the club said.

Minnesota United will maintain health and safety protocols that are currently in place, which includes requiring face coverings for all fans and staff.
