No injuries were reported as of early Tuesday morning following a fire at a Wisconsin dairy cooperative.
Crews reported the fire broke out at about 10:30 p.m. Monday at Burnett Dairy Cooperative in Burnett County.
Although a 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS crew wasn’t able to get very close to see the damage, the crew has learned eight fire departments responded to the fire.
According to the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office, all lanes on Highway 70, both eastbound and westbound, from Williams Road to County Highway M, were closed Tuesday morning as fire crews worked the scene.
Crew members said they believe a mechanical issue may have started the fire because the plant was operating at the time.
