7-year-old boy dies after being pulled from pool in south Minneapolis

Authorities say a 7-year-old boy who was pulled from a pool in Minneapolis on Saturday has died.
Around 8 p.m. Saturday, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Water Patrol responded to a report of a suspected drowning in a pool at a home on the 2200 block of Pillsbury Avenue South.
Emergency personnel found the boy and performed life-saving measures before taking him to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment.
On Monday, Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Andy Skoogman confirmed the boy had died.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office is expected to release the victim’s name and time of death.
