6-year-old hit, killed on Hwy 169 near Onamia

A 6-year-old was hit and killed Thursday night on Highway 169, north of the Twin Cities.
A Minnesota State Patrol crash report states the girl was hit around 10:45 p.m. near Twilight Road, not far from Onamia.
Few details were immediately available, but authorities say the child, who is listed as being from Onamia, had wandered onto the highway and into the path of a GMC Acadia.
The State Patrol also identified the driver as a 48-year-old woman from Garrison.
Road conditions were listed as dry at the time of the crash.
