4th person charged in connection to Moorhead woman's death
A fourth person has been arrested and charged in connection to the death of a Moorhead woman.
Brandon Everett Leroy Erbstoesser, 33, is charged with two counts of aiding an offender. Police also arrested Andrea Payne and David Erno last week on accessory to murder charges, and Ethan Broad has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Dystynee Avery.
Last Wednesday, police said investigators found human remains in a Clay County landfill, which they believed to be those of Avery. Monday, the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office positively identified the remains as Avery.
Court documents say Broad admitted to killing and dismembering Avery with a saw, then putting the body parts into garbage bags and throwing them into dumpsters at an apartment complex.
A criminal complaint states Erbstoesser admitted to providing false information to police and advising Broad on how to mislead police and hide the murder.
If convicted, each count carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
