4 injured in 3 separate shootings in Minneapolis
Four victims were shot in Minneapolis throughout Saturday and early Sunday from three separate incidents.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, the first shooting happened at 5:32 p.m. at 5700 block of 34th Avenue South. Once officers arrived at the scene, they located a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center by paramedics in critical conditions.
Police say the preliminary investigation yields that the incident may be domestic-related. The suspect fled before the officers’ arrival. No one is in custody at this time.
At 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a shooting in the 1700 block of East Lake Street where they located three victims. Two males and one female suffering from gunshot wounds that are considered not to be life-threatening. All three were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.
According to police, the preliminary information states that all three victims were standing in the front of a business outside when a white vehicle pulled up. After a brief conversation, a person inside the vehicle shot the three victims. The suspect vehicle fled. Investigators are working on this case and utilizing video from the area and speaking with several people in the area.
The third incident happened at 3:26 a.m. on Sunday. Police responded to Girard Avenue North and Lowry Avenue North on a report of a man lying on the ground covered in blood, said Minneapolis police.
Officers located the man, believed to be in his 20s, suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to North Memorial Medical Clinic. The officers said the preliminary investigation suggests the victim was shot outside in a neighboring area.
All incidents are under investigation and no further information is available at the time.
