36 cats removed from Bloomington home

Three dozen cats and kittens were removed from an overcrowded home in Bloomington and taken to the Animal Humane Society.

According to AHS, Bloomington police coordinated the release of the cats after the person became overwhelmed by the number of animals in her home. Bloomington Animal Control then transferred the cats to AHS for evaluation, medical care and adoption.

The cats ranged in age from 1 month to 2 years old.

AHS said the cats will be put up for adoption by appointment after they’ve been examined by veterinary services.
