3 injured while battling Forest Lake fire

Multiple firefighters are recovering from what officials say are minor injuries after battling a fire late Tuesday in Forest Lake.

According to the Forest Lake Fire Department, crews were called to a home on the 7500 block of 217th Street North at 8 p.m.

When they arrived, firefighters found a garage on fire.

Officials say three Forest Lake firefighters were injured, but add everyone in the building – as well as their pets- were able to safely evacuate without injury.

No other details regarding the firefighters’ injuries or conditions were immediately provided.

Multiple departments were called in to help put flames out, and crews were able to leave the scene at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

As of this time, the cause and origin of the fire are being investigated.
