Three people were arrested after a police pursuit through Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center.

According to the Crystal Police Department, officers received a call at about 10:49 p.m. Thursday from a caller reporting a person had threatened the caller with a shotgun.

A Crystal police officer in the area found the vehicle that matched the description the caller provided and watched the vehicle’s driver leave the address the caller gave.

The officer pursued the vehicle. Prior to initiating a traffic stop, the vehicle’s driver attempted to drive away from the officer at a high rate of speed.

The pursuit went through Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center. At one point, a shotgun was thrown from the suspect vehicle, matching the description the caller provided.

During the pursuit along the 5700 block of Camden Avenue in Brooklyn Center, the Crystal police vehicle struck another vehicle on the road. The officer and the driver of the other vehicle were both taken to a nearby hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.

The suspect vehicle, meanwhile, was involved in a single-vehicle crash shortly afterward on the 5700 block of Lyndale Avenue in Minneapolis. Police said the vehicle’s three occupants left the scene but were located with the help of a Brooklyn Park K9 and a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter.

All three suspects were treated at a nearby hospital and taken into custody, police said.

A 32-year-old woman was arrested for a felony warrant, fleeing police in a motor vehicle and on foot, and illegal possession of a firearm.

A 24-year-old man was arrested for fifth-degree possession of controlled substance and fleeing police on foot.

A 29-year-old woman was arrested for fleeing police on foot.
