2nd suspicious death ruled homicide in St. Cloud

St. Cloud police are now investigating a suspicious death as a homicide.

According to the St. Cloud Police Department, a woman who was found dead Thursday morning died of a gunshot wound and the manner of death was a homicide. Police found the victim while responding to a report of a person lying on the edge of the road around 9:28 a.m. on the 4300 block of Cooper Avenue South.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Crime Scene Team was brought in to process the scene, and the victim’s body was taken to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for formal identification and an autopsy.

Police say the victim has been identified as 25-year-old Keisa Marie Lange.

Investigators say Lange arrived in the area by a vehicle, but there were no vehicles in the area by the time responding officers got to the scene.

There are "notable similarities" between Lange’s death and the homicide reported on Tuesday on the 1400 block of 12th Avenue North in St. Cloud, police say, but it is not yet clear if the two deaths are directly related.

The St. Cloud Police Department, BCA and Stearns County Sheriff’s Office are all investigating this case.
