Two teenagers were shot Thursday night while playing at a playground in St. Paul.

According to St. Paul Police, officers were called to the area of the Frogtown Community Center on multiple reports of a juvenile shot at about 8:35 p.m.

There, officers found a 14-year-old boy who’d been shot in the leg and foot. Medics were called and the boy was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A short time later, police were told that a 16-year-old boy was dropped off at a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg, which he said happened at the same place as the other teen.

Witnesses told police the shooter ran from the scene. Officers weren’t able to locate any suspect but found five casings and an extended magazine at the scene.

Police said both victims were uncooperative.

The recreation center was closed at the time of the shooting.

No arrests had been made as of Friday morning.

An investigation is ongoing.
