2 shot in Brooklyn Park, injuries not considered life-threatening

The Brooklyn Park Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours on Sunday.

According to authorities, at about 1 a.m., officers responded to a shots fired report in the 8400 block of Xerxes Avenue N. Police arrived on scene and located evidence of shots fired.

Officers later learned that two individuals had been struck by gunfire and had self-transported to the hospital.

As of Sunday morning, the victim’s wounds are not believed to be life-threatening.

There is no other information at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
