2 pedestrians hit by vehicle near casino in Mille Lacs County
Two people are suffering from life-threatening injuries Friday morning after being hit by a vehicle in Mille Lacs County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at 1:17 a.m., the 58-year-old driver of a 2001 Ford F150 was traveling northbound on Highway 169 near Grand Avenue, in front of the Grand Casino, when the vehicle hit two pedestrians who were crossing east through the crosswalk.
A 36-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, both from Onamia, were transported to North Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Alcohol was not considered a factor in the crash, according to the state patrol. The incident remains under investigation.
