2 Minnesotans dead after single-vehicle crash in Wisconsin

Two women from Minnesota died after a vehicle crash in Wisconsin Saturday.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, at around 3:58 p.m., the Wisconsin State Patrol and the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department responded to a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in St. Croix County at milepost 25 eastbound.

Upon arrival, they discovered the two occupants of the vehicle, a 20-year-old woman from St. Michael, Minnesota, and a 20-year-old female from Albertville. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The initial investigation indicates the vehicle entered the ditch and struck a tree, the State Patrol said.

Monday, the Albertville woman was identified by the University of St. Thomas as Kyra Winslow, one of its students. The university said services for Winslow are being held at Peterson Chapel in St. Michael on Sunday ahead of a funeral on Monday.
