Two victims are in the hospital with injuries related to a shooting Thursday in north Minneapolis.

Minneapolis Police Department spokesman John Elder said a ShotSpotter activation alerted officers, who responded to the 3500 block of Irving Avenue North. They were told at the scene that two people had been shot.

Two people, who both appear to be adult males, suffered gunshot wounds, Elder said. Both were taken to North Memorial Health Hospital — one by ambulance and the other by a private party. Both are in serious but stable condition.

The scene is still "very active," and no one is in custody, Elder said.

No other information was immediately available.
