Authorities in western Wisconsin are investigating after two people were found dead Friday morning.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office said deputies received a call at about 11:25 a.m. from 32-year-old Amory Tarr saying his father had been shot in Clifton Township, not far from River Falls. Contact was then lost with Tarr.
When authorities got to the scene, they found Tarr and his father, 60-year-old Craig Tarr, both dead.
"A gentleman on the line said that his dad had been shot," said Pierce County Sheriff Nancy Hove. "When we got there, no one was answering our calls back, and when we got to the house, we found two deceased males."
The investigation remains active.
"There are no other suspects that we are thinking of, the community should be safe," said Hove.
More information is expected to be released at a later time.
River Falls Police, the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office and Wisconsin State Patrol also assisted at the scene.
This is a developing story. KSTP will continue to update this story as more information is released.
