2 dead, 2 injured in Ham Lake crash

Two people are dead and two others were injured after a two-car crash Sunday afternoon in Ham Lake.

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said around 2:46 p.m., a car headed west on Crosstown Boulevard Northeast near Urbank Street Northeast crossed the center line and hit another vehicle headed east.

Two victims, a man and a woman, were pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said. Another male victim and female victim were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.

Both directions of Crosstown Boulevard in the area were temporarily closed, and drivers are asked to avoid the area.

The deceased victims will be identified in the coming days pending autopsies.

The crash remains under investigation.
