18-year-old sentenced in fatal Minneapolis gas station shooting
An 18-year-old has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for fatally shooting another teen at a gas station in Minneapolis last year.
According to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, Jomoy Lee has been sentenced to 300 months (25 years) in prison as part of a plea agreement made in July.
He pleaded guilty to intentional second-degree murder and felon in possession charges for fatally shooting a 17-year-old at a Minneapolis gas station in September 2020.
The second shooter involved in the incident, 18-year-old Keijuan Haywood, of Minneapolis, currently faces intentional second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder charges. His next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday at 9 a.m.
