18-year-old charged in connection to Roseville shooting

An 18-year-old has been charged in connection to a shooting in Roseville.

According to the Roseville Police Department, Jahree Mashoun Walker has been charged with two counts of second-degree assault.

Officers were called Wednesday night to the 2700 block of Rice Street on the report of shots fired.

Police said a 21-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to her back. The woman was transported to an area hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Through cellphone video, officers were able to learn there had been an altercation involving six to eight people in a parking lot. During the altercation, two shots were fired.

Police said Walker was arrested without incident.

While searching Walker's apartment, officers found a bullet cartridge in the pocket of the pants he was believed to be wearing.
