1 killed, 2 injured in crash on I-35 near Hinckley
One person was killed and two people were injured after a crash on Interstate 35 near Hinckley on Friday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, the crash occurred just after 4 p.m. on the interstate near Highway 23 near Hinckley.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Mitsubishi Endeavor traveling southbound on I-35 crossed the median and proceeded to crash into a Kia Sportage that was northbound on the interstate.
The driver of the Kia Sportage, later identified as 45-year-old David Thomas Greiner from Garfield, was killed in the crash.
The two occupants of the Mitsubishi Endeavor both suffered injuries that are considered life-threatening.
The Minnesota State Patrol is expected to identify the man killed in the crash on Saturday.
