1 hospitalized after house fire in Rosemount

One person was taken to a nearby hospital after a house fire that happened early Wednesday in Rosemount.
According to a 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS crew at the scene, firefighters were working to extinguish the fire in the area of Blaine Avenue East and East 140th Street.
Firefighters said the call reporting the fire came in around 2:30 a.m. and upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the home.
Firefighters knocked the fire down and were able to get the person inside the house out from the lower level. That person’s condition is currently unknown.
There was heavy damage to the home, firefighters said.
Information on how the fire started has not yet been released.
