1 dead in Near North neighborhood shooting
Police say one person is dead following an overnight shooting in Minneapolis.
According to police, officers were called to the 700 block of Oliver Avenue North at about 2:40 a.m.
When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the front passenger seat of an SUV. He had already died by the time officers arrived.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 36-year-old RayAndre Lamar Bryant Torrence of Minneapolis.
A 911 caller had told police they saw a man in a hoodie walking away just after the shooting.
