1 dead from Minneapolis shooting, no suspects in custody
A man died early Wednesday morning after a shooting in Minneapolis.
According to the Minneapolis Police Department, at 12:48 a.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of the 2000 block of 28th Avenue South.
Once officers arrived at the scene, they located a parked vehicle with a man inside. As officers investigated, they found that the man in the vehicle had been shot.
Officers removed the victim and began CPR until relieved by paramedics. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.
No one is in custody at this time, said police.
The Crime Lab personnel responded to document the scene and collect evidence. The Homicide Unit sent detectives who have started their investigation.
The Medical Examiner will release the victim’s identity, along with the nature and cause of death in the days to come.
