1 dead, 5 injured in Dunn County, Wisconsin, house fire

A man, identified as 53-year-old Vue Lor, is dead and five people — a woman and four children — are injured from a house fire Sunday afternoon in western Wisconsin.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Office said emergency personnel responded to a report of a house fire around 12:55 p.m. in Spring Brook Township, Wisconsin.

According to a news release, there were six occupants inside the house at the time the fire started. Five occupants, a woman and four children were able to escape the building. They are being treated at different hospitals for thermal injuries and lacerations.

Lor was unable to escape the house and died in the fire. Two other adult residents of the house were not home when the fire started.

Several agencies, including the Wisconsin State Fire Marshal, are investigating the cause of the fire.
