1 dead, 1 injured in shooting at home near Silver Lake

One person is dead and another was taken to a hospital after a shooting at a home near Silver Lake Sunday morning.
The McLeod County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called to a home on 207th Street, east of Silver Lake, at 11:17 a.m. for a reported shooting.
According to the sheriff's office, 54-year-old Bruce Lamott was found with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
Authorities said the suspect in the shooting, identified as 54-year-old Carrie Lamott, was found dead in the house. The sheriff's office said her death is believed to be from self-inflicted wounds.
The sheriff's office also confirmed the two are husband and wife.
No other details were immediately available.
The shooting remains under investigation.
