1 critically injured in south Minneapolis fire
A person was critically injured Tuesday night after a fire in Minneapolis’s Hale neighborhood.
According to the Minneapolis Fire Department, crews responded to a reported fire in the 5000 block of 14th Avenue South at about 10:14 p.m. There, firefighters found a man still inside the home on the first floor.
The man was carried out of the home and received immediate medical attention, the department said. He was then taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire before it spread much to the rest of the home.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. It’s unclear how much damage the fire caused.
