Opening Day at Target Field is right around the corner and the team is gearing up to welcome back fans.
A job fair was held at the ballpark Monday and Tuesday for food, beverage and retail positions.
In today’s job market, officials with Delaware North Sportservice say finding workers takes work.
“Hiring has been very tough, just like it is for everyone else in the industry,” Carl Green with Delaware North Sportservice said. “It’s kind of just a boots on the ground effort, lots of emails, lots of calls, just reaching out to folks and trying to get them in.”
Kim Carlson of Minneapolis was hired as a bartender.
“It was like the easiest job interview in my life,” Carlson said. “It’s going to be a fun summer.”
Delaware North Sportservice say they’re offering flexible schedules, a $500 signing bonus and a free game day meal.
