Four St. Paul police officers were awarded on Thursday for saving a woman’s life last year.
In May 2021, officers Keng Her, Sean Higgins, Nathan Kinn and Dao Van responded to a call of a 19-year-old woman, in a car — who had been shot in the neck — and was losing blood fast.
Officers arrived at the chaotic scene, got the woman out of the car, put pressure on the wound and kept her alive until medics arrived.
She survived after being taken to the hospital for surgery.
