Island life in Minnesota? Unique White Bear home offers complete seclusion

Island life might seem like a dream to many Minnesotans, especially this time of year.

But, if you’ve been saving your pennies, that dream could be a reality.

This unique, multi-million dollar, house popped up for sale in White Bear Township and it’s only accessible by boat.

The massive, renovated, home sits on Bald Eagle Island in White Bear Township and it’s caught the eye of news-cycles across the country.

Photos give a glimpse into what it might be like to live in luxury and tucked away from the busy metro life.

The five bedroom, six-and-a-half bath home is surrounded by lake front, crisp-white interior, a movie theatre, league size racquetball court and even comes with a Hovercraft to get back and forth on the water.

Of course, in the winter you can simply drive to the island home once the ice is thick enough. That’s not something all island homeowners can boast about.

Nathan Landucci of Landucci Homes, tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS he bought the 1980’s home a few years ago, stripped it down to the studs and renovated the out-of-date home to give it a more modern vibe. To top off the 2022 version of the sleek design, it’s also a high-tech home which is completely operated using iPads.

Landucci says the previous owner had decided to leave the White Bear Township island home, for a bigger island in Hawaii.

If having an island to yourself isn’t enough, the 9,414 square-foot space, with 2.3 acres of property, may give the new owners options for even more seclusion.

According to Realtor.com, the listing at 1 Bald Eagle Island is estimated to cost around $28,768 a month or $6.6 million total.
