Dead man found in Red River

A man’s body was found in the Red River, Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities in Moorhead responded to the banks of the Red River around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon on a report of a body near the shoreline.

According to a release, several youths reported what first responders confirmed to be a dead body.

The Moorhead police and fire departments recovered the dead man, whose body is headed to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and identification.
