1 dead after pickup crashes into tree in Cass County

A Becker man is dead after he crashed a pickup truck into a tree early Sunday morning in northern Minnesota.

According to a Minnesota State Patrol crash report, 55-year-old Jack Dailey was driving a Ram 1500 southbound on Highway 64 near 20th Street Southwest in McKinley Township around 3:34 a.m. when he left the road and struck a tree.

Dailey was pronounced dead at the scene, the crash report states. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Alcohol was not believed to be a factor.
