Wuollet’s Bakery in Edina is crossing a milestone Tuesday.
The Twin Cities bakery chain opened 77 years ago and has been selling gingerbread houses ever since.
Workers who make the houses say it’s all part of the holiday tradition.
"It’s a wonderful Christmas tradition to sit around the table either before or after Christmas and bust up the house and eat it," said Audrey Malone, a Wuollet Artisan Baker. "The kids love it – but I would argue old and young alike like it."
The bakery’s recipe for gingerbread houses hasn’t changed since they opened.
