Wrong-way driver killed in head-on crash west of Sauk Centre
One person is dead after a head-on crash involving a pickup truck and a semi Wednesday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the crash happened at about 3 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 94, west of Sauk Centre.
According to the patrol, the pickup truck was driving the wrong way at the time of the crash.
The pickup driver — a 78-year-old Osakis man — was killed. The driver and passenger in the semi weren’t injured.
The identity of the driver of the pickup will be released at a later time.
An investigation is underway.
