Woman stabbed to death Tuesday in Minneapolis

A woman’s suspicious death Tuesday afternoon in north Minneapolis is now being investigated as a homicide, the Minneapolis Police Department said.

The victim, 37-year-old LaTiffany Altanette Lessley, was found dead shortly after 3 p.m. at a home near the intersection of North Thomas and Eighth avenues, according to a police spokesperson.

Lessley died from “multiple sharp force injuries,” an autopsy report from the Hennepin County Medical Examiner states.

Police say this is the 68th homicide in Minneapolis this year.
