Woman killed after being ejected from vehicle in Minneapolis
Police say a woman was killed Monday night in Minneapolis after she was ejected from a vehicle during a crash.
A Minneapolis Police Department spokesperson said officers were called just after 8 p.m. on the report of a crash on Emerson Avenue North near 40th Avenue North.
When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been ejected from a vehicle. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The spokesperson said the driver of the vehicle was detained and questioned.
Prior to the crash, police received multiple calls about reckless driving in the area. The vehicle in the crash matched the description of the vehicle that was mentioned by callers.
According to police, alcohol and speed may have played a factor in the crash.
