Wolves, Lynx to host blood drive Tuesday

With blood donations still urgently needed, the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx will host a blood drive Tuesday to encourage donors.
The organization says it is partnering with Memorial Blood Centers to host the blood drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mayo Clinic Square.
“We are so grateful for our partnership with the Timberwolves and Lynx and the upcoming blood drive at Mayo Clinic Square,” Wendy Capetz, the director of marketing and development for Memorial Blood Centers, said in a statement. “Our appointment schedules might be tight, but the need for blood donation doesn’t take a vacation. We hope folks will donate at our donor centers to help us replenish supplies for patients in need.”
Those who donate at Tuesday’s drive will receive an MBC t-shirt, Wolves and Lynx items and a voucher for two Timberwolves tickets to the team’s preseason home opener against Brooklyn on Friday, Oct. 14.
