Every year, 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS highlights the work that local organizations are doing.

It’s part of our Why We Give series.

M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis.

The campus provides a broad range of pediatric programs from surgery, imaging and neonatal and pediatric intensive care to cardiac and oncology (cancer care) services and blood and marrow and organ transplantation.

Through teamwork and collaboration, they respectfully address the physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual needs of pediatric patients and their families.

KSTP’s Leah McLean talks about how a new program could help even more children facing mental health crises.
